A Study Into Climates Around The World
Your job is to do some research into the different climates around the world. As you research, be sure to answer these questions in your inquiry journal:
What is climate?
What are some of the different climate zones you have found?
What are 3 facts you can find about each climate zone?
**Any words you may come across that you aren't sure what they mean, be sure to write them down in your journal so we can talk about them tomorrow!**
My suggestion may be to use boxes and bullets for the research you are doing!
Here are the only websites you may research on:
www.ducksters.com/science/climate.php
www.weatherforkids.org/climate.html
sites.google.com/site/climatetypes/
Now your job will be to study each of these climates a little more closely! Choose a Clime to start with. Answer these questions in your inquiry journal as you study.
1) What is the weather patterns do you see in this climate?
2) What are some places that have this kind of climate?
3) Where do you notice this climate mostly is in the world?
4) What would it be like to live in the climate and why?
* How would you get food?
* What would your clothes be like?
* What would your house look like?
* How would you get water?

For the next few days we will be studying what places around the world are in the different climate zones.
1. Your job will be to pick a city within the climate zone you have chosen.
2. You will then use the kid safe search engines on my website to search and find the answer to the following questions.
What is the name of the city, the country, and the continent?
What are the longitude and latitude points of that city?
What are the landforms in or around your city?
What is your city's weather pattern?
What are the houses there like and why?
What are their clothes like and why?
What would it be like to live there?
How would a person living in this region plan for extreme weather?
Once you have answered all of the questions you will pin your information on the pin map. Use the link below to add your information and a picture that represents the information you are talking about.
